Tomorrow, Friday October 4th is the last day to register for the Defeated to Determined Event and the “Lose It to Win It” – 10 Week Challenge.
The Challenge will consist of daily workout plans that I personally create for you and they will be delivered to your email every evening for the following day (via TrainingPeaks.com) Training Peaks also has an app for I-phone and Android users so you can see the workouts when you want and upload your post workout comments.
The Challenge participants will have a private facebook group hosted by me. We will have open discussions, Q&A and post our weekly results. This facebook page will be a way that we can connect and help keep each other accountable and motivated.
Once a week I will deliver an email discussing various topics related to weight loss. This will really focus on the mental aspect of losing weight. There is so much more to a lifestyle change than just eating less and moving more. This will help you stay more motivated than ever and make you think about why your goal is so important!
There will also be a weekly healthy recipe that I will present to all of you, but we will also share our best practices when it comes to healthy meal ideas.
I will host google chats or conference calls to discuss topics pertaining to weight loss.
Some Topics to be discussed:
- Eat Right For The Holidays
- The Low-Down On Sugar & Sweeteners
- Decision Making 101
- Finding Your Goal Weight
- Hunger vs. Cravings
- Utilizing Guided Imagery
- Portion Distortion
- Thought Interruption Process
- Tips For Overcoming Emotional Eating
- Becoming Unstuck
- How To Sustain Motivation
Finally, at the end of the 10 weeks you will be able to accomplish your first 5k race! If you are local to the NY area, we will all participate in the same 5k race at the end of the 10 weeks!
I hope that many of you will join in the challenge and take the first steps in making 2014 be the year of YOU!
